Frederick Paulo Tomacder towers a little over five feet, too short for the average basketball superstar. But Frederick Paulo is not aspiring to be one. He prefers to play a sport he says is closely related to writing. This sport allows him to play and write on the same spot?he table?nd hold his racket like a pen?he penhold grip. He says the sport is like news writing because it focuses on the accuracy and precision of shots and the speed of the player. He is a writer, and he also plays table tennis.

Ma'am Crysta Rara is our professor in feature writing.  Other subjects she handles in UP Masscomm include J195 Enviornmental Reporting and BJ101 Broadcast Journalism.  She is well known for having dozens cats at home and for giving names to the two cats in CMC (pop quiz: what were they again?).  Likewise, she is prominent for bringing environmental issues to the fore through environmental journalism.  She has backgrounds in Magazine Writing and Producing News Programs for TV.  She currently writes a column for Mr. & Ms. and Jeepney Magazine and blogs over at Crysta's ARK.

Grace is an aspiring food critic and writer slash consumer of restaurant freebies just like Julia Robert's character in my Bestfriend's Wedding. She spends her free time, given any, reading science fiction and fantasy apart from perusing food magazines with lots of pretty pictures. Although not innately a bottomless pit, Grace gives her best when faced with a loaded buffet table, trying the weird and palatable with the great Anthony Bourdain in mind. If her career in
journalism fails, she would be an animator and comics creator with longer lunch breaks. She would like world hunger to end and wishes that she gain a pound or so before important weigh-ins.

Clarice Camille Gamara or Camille, as most would call her, can be insensitive yet sometimes otherwise, independent yet subservient, loud yet introverted. She usually fancies solitude, but she prefers to be surrounded by friends and loved ones. But never get her wrong, she? not suffering from any psychological disorder or whatsoever. It just so happened that, as any woman would, she can be moody. Trust me, she can be moody. But still what serves unique to a Clarice / Camille, is her value for family, for friends, and for every relationship she has. She laughs, she cries, she loves and she fights. Yes, she enjoys life. Having just finished a course in basic rock climbing, Anjo, 18, is not so sure about taking up another extreme sport again. He sees himself more as a laid back person whose physical activity is concentrated mostly in the hands, fingers, mouth and the head. When not busy with journalistic output for his classes or his newspaper Tinig ng Plaridel, Anjo regularly hawks the news, forages for something interesting to read, and lurks around for meaningful conversation.
